The Iguazú Park is open to the public 365 days a year.
Hours of Operation:
Summer: 08:00 to 18:00hrs - Winter: 08:00 to 18:00hrs.
The admission fees to the Iguazu National Park are quoted in Argentinian Pesos, and only Argentinian Pesos are accepted for entrance to the Park.

Services included in your entrance fee:
The Ecological Train to the falls: from the services and entrance area runs every 30 minutes, since half hour after the park openning. The last train to "Devil's Throat Station" departs at 4pm.

San Martín Island: The first ferry boat ride over to San Martín Island leaves from the bottom of the Lower Circuit Trail at 9:00am, the last boat to the island at 15:30, returning at 16:30. The visit to the island can take up to 2 hours and the long stairs make it not advisable for very small children or the less mobil senior citizens.

Interpretive Center: "Yvira Retá" (Land of Trees in the local Guaraní language). There you will learn that the park also protect a large area of special rainforest with its enormous variety of plants and animals. This type of forest (the Paranaense or brazilian coastal forest) is severely threatened. Here too you will learn about the various cultures which have lived in the forest over time, about conservation efforts and problems.

Macuco Nature Trail: length 3600mts to in. The forest trail is ideal for a good walk, to watch birds or get to know the forest. It is exclusively a hiking trail, self-guided and with interpretative stations. Before you start the walking, read the "recommendations about wildlife encounters". Light footwater, a hat, water and insect repellent are advisable.

Firs Aid and Medical attention: are to be found at "Cataratas Central Station" and "Old Hotel". The main medical at the falls is in the Central Station where a doctor, a nurse and an ambulance with intensive care unit deal with more serious problems.

Take Note:
It is forbidden to feed the animals as this alters theier natural behaviour and harms them. The "Coatíes" around the falls have taken advantage of visitors ignorance or this and become habituated to begging or even stealing from hand, bags with threats and aggression. Be very careful, when eating, that no "Coatíes" are near specially so when children are around. Your cooperation in this respect will help us cut this unnatural behaviour which the "Coatíes" have learned. DON NOT FEED THEM.
Recomendations:
- Remember that the waterfalls are in Iguazú National Park. Every natural thing in this protected area is valuable to the whole.
- You are not allowed to take any plan or piece of vegetation, nor animal, alive or dead.
- Enjoy the fauna without molesting the animals. Do not touch any animals, they are not tame nor domesticated.
- Keep on the trails and the park's opening hours.
- Do not litter, keep your rubbish with you till you find a bin.
- Repect others visitors, most of them are here for a quiet natural expierence.
- Report any infringement of the regulations or abnormal behaviour to the Ranger Park.
- Wear comfortable clothes and a hat. Use insect repellent and keep hydrated.
