September – October: Colorful waterfalls
Those who have seen the Iguazú National Park more than once and in different moments of the year agree on one thing: “the waterfalls always surprise you”.

Home > Natural Events > Septembre - October

However, this statement is given a new and much more significant meaning among those who are lucky enough to enjoy “the waterfall experience” during the period in which the forest explodes with endless colors and scents.

The spring drive shows the most colorful and energetic version of the extraordinary Missionary Forest, home to over 90 tree species and which hides behind its branches 275 wonderful waterfalls.

It is a stunning experience to walk along the paths of the park and come across the intense red color of the coral trees in bloom (the flower of which has been declared national in Argentina); the Perobá subtle yellow or the copper tone of the only Cupay we may find in Argentina.

But not only does the vegetation surprise us with its brilliant colors. Spring also stuns us with its countless butterflies and their unexpected and splendid display; the humming birds fluttering hypnotically among the most beautiful flowers, or the amusing company of the multicolored toucans.

There is no doubt, spring dresses the Iguazú National Park with its most exotic outfit and invites us to a party bursting with life where we are be surprised not only by the flow of water but also by the unexpected flow of colors.

In each visit the Iguazú waterfalls are a unique and unrepeatable experience.

Live out the experience, live out the waterfalls!

During the nights of full moon it is possible to walk the Devil’s Throat Path and watch a show as dazzling as unique: the unmistakably rainbow created by the moonlight. The tour consists in a train travel from Central Station to Devil’s Throat Station and a walk along the boardwalks to the Devil’s Throat Balconies. On your way back, at the Central Station a welcome cocktail is offered with natural juices and caipirinha for everyone at the Food Court close to the "La Selva" Restaurant, where you will be able to enjoy the most exquisite Argentinean style meats arranged in a large barbecue, a  buffet with cold and hot dishes, salads and desserts daily homemade. A good wine is the corollary of the Iguazu National Park experience in the full moon light, before going back.

Weather:

The attractive Iguazu Area known for its worldwide famous Falls, offers in the middle of the Winter a nice temperature and absence of annoying winds. This kind of weather persists approximately from May to September. Frequently you can enjoy a pleasant weather during all day or, at least, from noon to early afternoon. The tourist eager to visit this singularly beautiful place is not generally too much bothered by the relatively high humidity. It happens the same with the tropical rains which are frequent during 8 to 10 days of the month.
