July - August: Tones of green in the wild life
Up there in the astonishing forest, the constant jumping from branch to branch, add adrenaline to the love vertigo that attacks the Caí monkeys and other animals in these months of the year at the Falls.
Up there in the astonishing forest, the constant jumping from branch to branch, add adrenaline to the love vertigo that attacks the Caí monkeys (Zebus apella) in these months of the year. They jump from one tree to another, noisily, moving everything, opening a fruit, scratching a twig, and always alert to warn the group of some strange movement, and they advance looking for something to eat but with fixed aims in the possible couple. More independent small coatíes (Nasua nasua), also waste happiness and compete in offerring joyce.
Half-of-the-year normal life in the forest is affected by the instinctive necessity of lengthening the species a generation more. The moment where males should look for females has arrived. Competition on the leadership of the clan might take place; someone must have the controlling voice in the group. Suddenly, the paths of the Park are filled with their riotous screams, warning bystanders that an unique show will be presented: a local family is about to pass. And it will not only pass and leave their racket sounding, but they will also share the scenario with unique characters from their surroundings, which will be there to give colors, to assure the variety, to provoke a smile, to built a dream. The Maxillaria picta will continue lighting beautifully, at the same time that a Pecaríes herd (Tayassu pecari), also stirred up by love, perfumes its territory, rubbing plants, trunks, and as much as they want to belong while the Calandrias (Mimus saturninus) begin to deploy the first notes of their songs and the Benteveos (Pitangus sulforatus) arm the neighborhood with new houses. The green wild life always has tones and shades, happiness and vertigo, songs and silence, love and relief. Opening hours and services:
