Union Waterfall, gets its name because it is located on the borderline dividing the Republic of Argentina and the Federal Republic of Brazil. The Devil's Throat, that is found immediately after Union Waterfall, gets its name from the indigenous Guarani for whom the devil means the king of evil (Aña Ragio in the Guarani language).
